I took the first course of International Foundation for Dental Education, specialty in Orthodontics in 2013. The course was fundamental and helped dentists initiate orthodontic practice.

The foreign and domestic mentors were profound and devoted as well. I look forward to the next advanced course.

This is not my first orthodontic training but it is really special in a way that it allows the participants to save a lot of time and travelling, compared to a 3-years full-time program.

Participants can study online at their own pace and convenience, from home, while still keeping their daily life and office schedule which is great for all the busy dentists nowadays. Plus, the course is very well structured and the didactic materials are carefully prepared, easy to understand, with delicate dosage of comprehensive knowledge to guide the participants smoothly through the whole course.

This is a very effective way of distant learning as you can read the materials over and over again, knowing that all your questions will be addressed either online or during onsite sessions.

… not only the teaching method is appealing, but also the tutors are fantastic. Dr. Retrouvey and Dr. Kay are very experienced orthodontists and friendly instructors that no one would want to miss! I really learned a lot from them and enjoyed the experience.

I will definitely recommend this course to anyone wishing to have a solid background in orthodontics. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

Some thoughts on the first online-onsite orthodontic course by IFDE in HoChiMinh city in 2013.

Firstly, I was very lucky to be accepted despite last minute enrolment. Secondly and surprisingly, I was appointed to be the chief of the class. Last but not least… we all benefited from an ortho training by 2 of the best specialists in the world who are very devoted and responsible, together with other teaching assistants.

After this course, I became much more confident with a sound and logic reasoning to receive a patient in need of orthodontic treatment, analyse inputs and provide a good treatment planning.

After this course on basic orthodontics by IFDE, we could make proper records and patient file in English, conduct cephalometric analysis, assess the severity and difficulty of a case as easy, average or complicated.

We now have better knowledge, ready to move ahead on our learning curve in orthodontics which may never end! We are all eager to attend the second course by IFDE which I would like to rate 5 stars if I may.

Once again, I would like to express my most sincere thanks to my two dear teachers and staff for a wonderful course.

I hesitated a lot before enrolling for this course, so afraid that my English is not good enough. However, the online content turned out to be quite easy to follow with clear illustrations. The onsite sessions were also great as the instructors explained carefully and we had fun with the exercise.

I have applied a lot of things I learned from this course to my daily practice. Thank you very much Dr. Retrouvey and Dr. Kay.
