The International Foundation for Dental Education (IFDE™) is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

IFDE™ educational programs are developed and maintained by highly qualified dental educators and clinicians who demonstrate the highest standards of professional knowledge and practice. Sensitivity and respect for the orthodontic needs and dental practices of the host country guide professional and personal behaviour.

Programs will vary according to the orthodontic educational needs of the countries. However, there are certain principles that apply across all programs offered:

• Protection of the public by providing clear information as to the level of training achieved
• Improved access to orthodontic specialist training by general practitioners
• Improved orthodontic care by teaching dentists the appropriate skills and knowledge necessary to meet the varying levels of treatment complexity, as well as considering the relative needs and demands of local patients.

Whenever possible, we will focus on preparing dental professionals from emerging countries to assume the roles of educator and provider.
